VIPs · OKX Announcement on Optimizing Spot Market Order Execution Rules

OKX has changed how spot market orders work when a price limit is triggered, to make trading smoother.

Before, if the estimated execution price of a spot market order went above the trading instrument's price limit, the whole market order was cancelled.

Now, the order is partially filled within the price limit range, and only the part of the quantity outside the price limit is cancelled.

The announcement is dated 29 June 2026 and was published on 28 June 2026 at 16:00 UTC; if you place spot market orders, check how this change affects your trades.
